More classes for children.

Dear Jayamohan,

I have seen the letters written by boys and girls about the bird-watching program. I too had attended the bird-watching program last time. I could see that the children enjoyed these programs with enormous enthusiasm. In today’s environment, the most important way to overcome children’s internet addiction is to connect them with nature. America and Europe are implementing this approach. To achieve this, many classes are offered, such as bird watching, stone collecting, and learning about plants. Here our people have also made it a corporate business. Someone had written that most of the summer classes are scams. That is true. I too have had many bitter experiences. Can you organize more classes for children? This is the need of the day.

Dear Meenakshi,

We also have an interest in and plan to continue such programs. Not only knowing and documenting nature, but also documenting our temples and culture are important tasks. Children can be taught video recording, editing, lighting, etc. for this purpose from the age of 10. It will make them focus on the action. It will save them from the distractions created by the internet.

However, achieving this requires large-scale participation. Proper implementation requires the inclusion of only 50 children in each class. Consequently, it becomes necessary to hold multiple classes. The issue lies in treating schoolchildren as slaves to their homework during school hours. They cannot take a single day off on Saturdays and Sundays or travel. We can only hold these classes during the summer and December vacations.

It would be good if they could be held on other days. The parents’ mentality should also cooperate.
