Ayurveda Introductory Classes

Sunil Krishnan, an Ayurvedic doctor and renowned literary figure, has conducted two Ayurvedic classes so far. After a long break, he will conduct a third class.

This is not a medical class. It is only an introduction to the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda. This class is for the layperson who wants to know about life and nature. Since it is conducted by a literary teacher with long teaching experience, it will be an intriguing class for anyone with a general interest.

Why is an introduction to Ayurveda necessary? We have formed this class because we feel that both genders need this introduction.

People who practice yoga and meditation have long said that an introduction to Ayurveda is essential. Taking care of one’s body (kaya), one’s breath (prana), and one’s mind (citta) is essential in yoga and meditation. Most of the time, we have only a rough understanding of these things. Many understandings are even wrong. This class was very helpful in achieving the right understanding.

Ordinary people should have knowledge about their body in everyday life. Understanding how their body works is essential to determining what is healthy and what is not. It is necessary for normal life and travel. Many of the thoughts that we have about food and health in everyday life are unfounded folk beliefs. that is why formal understanding is crucial.  That is why these classes are organised by us.
