Dear J,
I watched your video and discovered that Urdu literature classes are now available. There is no doubt that it is a very necessary education. My army service introduced me to Urdu literature. My friend would keep reading poems of Faiz Ahmed Faiz. I am still a big fan of Urdu poetry. Urdu is the child of Persian. Occasionally I used to remember and chant some lines of Mirza Ghalib.
But I generally cannot find that interest in Tamil. I also doubt that anyone here will come to Urdu literature classes. In any case, it is the best thing that such a class is going to happen. Congratulations.

Dear Ramaswamy,
Qualified teachers should conduct these classes here—that’s my belief. The absence of these classes today is a miss, and it should be filled.
This is one of the classes that I personally want to attend. I know that Introduction to Urdu Literature will open up a space of dialogue for me with many people at the Indian level.
