The short speech on reading our classics in this modern age is a fresh thought. What you said is absolutely right. We are reading literature only to get into our present culture and our personal lives. We are reading it to travel into the inner mind of us. Reading classic literature as a kind of historical document meant filtering away the literary element from it.
