I was listening and watching your video in your Unified Wisdom YouTube channel about the topic “How to write a debut novel?”.
It was really motivating the budding young female writers.Your message was simple and superb.The advices and ideas that you provided to the young female writers are noteworthy.
With your rich and rigorous writing skills,young wemen writers will get tempted to start writing a piece of novel in English very soon.As you mentioned rightly, through the medium of language, that is, English, a writer can express her culture and environment through her writing. Especially ,South Indian Tamil culture has its rich cultural heritage .Wemen were suppressed in the early centuries and they were put down by male chauvinists . Wemen can write novels better than men because they have high emotional level of understanding about their culture. They are the real cultural embodiment of our Tamil culture.
Your observation is correct that there are few female writers in Tamilnadu who write in English.
I am indeed happy and enthralled to know that the Manasa publication is encouraging wemen writers to write in English. Your words of wisdom to young female writers will definitely motivate and encourage them to write novels in English. The avenue is opened now for them and opportunities are available to them now.
