The Carnatic Music Introductory Training Course conducted by Jayakumar was a wonderful start for the participants, and the same course is going to be held again.
Many of us are interested in learning Carnatic music. But we may have doubts about whether we can learn it. There is also a misconception that it is too complicated. In fact, a perfect start is enough to enjoy traditional music. The 16-hour training course, which spans three days, was very helpful for learning traditional music.
This training course will introduce the main ragas of Carnatic music. Kirtans and film songs will be played to help us remember them. Once we begin to listen to music, we will start paying attention to the songs without even realizing it. It is the gateway to entering the wonderful world of traditional music.
