An Unreasonable prise

Dear Jeyamohan,

The video you presented on intellectual observation, learning, and developing a personal intellectual sphere is captivating and thought-provoking. Today, there is a prevalent notion among young people that developing an intellectual identity solely based on their career is essential and sufficient for success. However, focusing only on a careerist mindset can limit our ability to address personal and spiritual challenges. We need to cultivate a more well-rounded intellectual personality. It is important to explore new ideas and knowledge beyond our careers and daily lives.

Today, we are an emerging economy, and we are trying to conquer the world in a way that trains our youth to be career-focused. However, being purely career-oriented is not ideal. We Indians have much to learn from the Japanese. They made the same mistake fifty years ago, and now they have become a spiritually void country. We should reflect on the current state of Japan and warn ourselves and the next generation not to follow in their footsteps. We should not become a society lacking spiritual and traditional core values. Any development comes at a cost, and our cost should not be spirituality. We should conquer the world materially, but at the same time, we must nurture our spirit to truly enjoy our achievements. That is the correct way to progress. Thank you.
