Philosophy Classes Abroad

Hi team

Thanks for organizing courses in varied fields.

I have been attempting to understand philosophy for a few years now, using resources such as Socrates Studio, a class by Ilangai Jeyaraj, and the Guru Nithya website. Many stages have left me lost, and I still don’t fully understand philosophy. I have numerous questions, many of which I would like to learn from a teacher.

I reside in the United States. Could your team provide me with information about the possibility of attending classes in the US, or is in-person participation the only recommended option?

Thanks and regards.

Viji

Dear Viji,

We are conducting direct classes only. I personally believe that without three fundamental essentials, we cannot learn philosophy. We require a vanam (forest location), a vak (personal guidance from a guru), and vrudhi (proper methodology).

Yes, through books and online classes, we can learn ideas, data, and the history of philosophy. However, those are not actual ‘philosophy’. The core of philosophy is vision, which is always abstract and very personal. One must experience this within themselves by carefully following the steps of philosophical lessons. We are not teaching academic philosophy. We are striving to convey the essence of philosophy. Therefore, we take great care in our communication.

Indeed, individuals living in the diaspora often struggle with this concept of learning. They are unable to attend the classes in person. If they want to learn, they can attend classes in person. This October, I will be conducting philosophy classes in the USA at a vanam, Boon Hill. I’m hoping to teach more classes here. I am also considering conducting classes in Europe. Two camps for a year is sufficient, with some follow-up learning. You can join these classes.
