About Us

These programs offered by Vishnupuram Literary Circle were started in 1992, when Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati was living in Ooty, by writer Jeyamohan in Ooty Gurukulam. These trainings are later formalized and conducted through Vishnupuram Literary Circle. Over two hundred programs have been conducted so far. This platform has been launched to take these programs to people outside the Vishnupuram Literary Circle as well.

 Nature of programs 

1. These classes are conducted offline. We do not believe in education through online platforms. This system of learning is built to counter the online education model. We would like to focus on imparting knowledge to people who are willing to give their time for the sake of learning and educating themselves.

2. These courses provide a basic introduction to many fields like spirituality, Indian philosophy, Western philosophy, painting, music, modern literature, modern medicine and Ayurveda. The courses are suitable for a beginner who is a novice in these fields. After imparting the basics, guidance would be provided for those who are interested in pursuing a detailed study on the subject.

3. Teachers with extensive experience in their respective fields are selected to impart this course. All of them contribute with passion without any expectation in return as cash or kind. Only their travelling expenses are covered.

4. This organization is not for profit. Hence the fee is determined based on cost sharing at the lowest possible cost. Therefore only simple facilities suitable for a gurukula system of education will be provided. Private and luxurious facilities are not provided. Please refrain from applying if you expect such facilities.

5. The purpose of these programs is to impart the knowledge that a modern man needs to acquire. Nitya Chaitanya Yati said that arts, philosophy and spirituality should be taught as unified knowledge. It is called Omniscience. Unified Wisdom is an attempt to impart such comprehensive knowledge. So we expect one to enrol and learn in all these classes.

6. Unified Wisdom is not a religious organization. So there are no rituals and prayers of any kind. People of all religions can enrol.

7. Unified Wisdom is a completely apolitical organization. So there is no place for any kind of political discussions and political dialogues here.

Program Rules 

1. No alcohol is allowed in these classes. Regular drinkers are not allowed. Please refrain from applying if you have a habit of drinking.

2. These classes are designed like a Gurukul system where a student learns by staying abreast with the teacher. Only a qualified teacher would teach the program. Classes occur bound by his words and instructions. Participants are expected to display the necessary respect and dignity towards the teacher.

3. Only vegetarian food is served.

4. Participants will be provided with shared accommodation. Separate accommodation will be provided for women participants.

5. Participants have to make their travel arrangements on their own. Arrangements will be made if there is an opportunity to accompany fellow participants.

6. Sponsors will be found for those who cannot afford to pay. They are allowed if they get a sponsor. But there will be no difference between those who paid and those who are sponsored. Sponsoring details will not be shared with the participants.

7. Participants are expected to share their complete information while applying.
