The Author and the Guru_ Letter

In this small video, you are clearly defining the role of a writer and a guru. Your self-definition as an author is obvious and distinct. I greatly appreciate your self-awareness. But you have to understand one thing, sir: generally, a reader is not very close to any gurus. He has the ego of an intellectual and can’t accept any advice or order. He wants to create his own ideas through his own experiences, and to obtain more and more experience, he is reading fiction. So for him, a creative writer is closer to him than any guru. He is considering an author as a friend and a guide, so he is addressing him as a teacher. We are not addressing the person as teacher; we are addressing the man who wrote the texts as the teacher.
