I watched the video on the Temple Appreciation Course and the related question about its impact on Bhakti and Yoga. Some seniors used to tell us that these classes would make us logical-minded and separate us from Bhakti and Yoga. In fact, that assumption is sheer nonsense. Mostly ignorant older men would say this. They don’t understand Bhakt either. They believe ignorance is a kind of virtue, and they consider themselves Bhakt because of their ignorance. In reality, Bhakti is a path to Gnana; without wisdom, true Bhakti is not possible. Wisdom can only be achieved through knowledge and the practice of that knowledge.
