I watched your video on the influence of AI on the next generation. Routine, repetitive, and non-creative tasks are increasingly going to be taken over by AI. What, then, remains uniquely important for humanity? Logic and imagination.
Education based primarily on the accumulation of information is becoming obsolete. What we need now is an education that develops the powers of imagination and logical thinking. Of course, these require a basic foundation of knowledge. But the role of information is limited to providing that foundation. We must understand this reality. Only then can we reorganize our education system to meet the needs of the present age.
Unfortunately, India’s educational institutions have yet to grasp this fundamental change. This is one of the major limitations of our cultural and intellectual life today.
