Introduction to Indian Temple Art. For Beginners

Jayakumar Bharadwaj has so far trained over three hundred people in his Indian Temple-Sculpture Introductory Classes. Along with Jeyakumar, they are also doing a series of sculpture trips to Tarasuram, Northamalai, Belur, Hampi, and Ajanta. Those who had completed their secondary education visited temples, received training in writing short books, and started their writing careers.

These classes provide basic training on how to enjoy Indian temple art. Even beginners can participate. We will teach you about the structure of Indian temples and the aesthetics of Indian sculptures. Many people have recorded that it is a new beginning in life when the temples we normally visit suddenly begin to shine in a completely new light.

Understanding sculptures is more than just art training; it is also a spiritual and meditation practice. The creators of temple sculptures aim to visually portray esoteric philosophy. Without proper knowledge, we cannot perceive them.
