Dear Jeyamohan,
I watched your talk about our legendary Western gurus who brought out our ancient texts from the slumber of the past. The real Indian Renaissance started at the point where Monier Williams and Max Müller translated our Sanskrit texts into the German language and then into English. We found our ‘swatva’ in those books. Then we developed it into a national identity. Our national movement started at that point.
Swami Vivekananda got his inspiration from those texts, and he is the proponent of our Hindu renaissance movement and national movement. Hence we can say these European rishis are the yagna yajamanas of our yagna of national movements. Swami Vivekananda called them our rishis of modern time because of this reason.
