How are developing nations facing devastation?

Dear J,

I wanted to share my thoughts on the video you posted about your trip to Egypt. When a country begins to develop, it often faces a surge in issues like racism, linguistic divides, religious tensions, and other forms of separatism. This can lead to riots and, at times, even a change in government. Consequently, the country may experience a significant economic decline. This downturn can be attributed to those who oppose the nation’s development. Similar events have occurred in Egypt and can also be seen in Bangladesh, among other countries.

Dear Arvind,,

When a country is peaceful and experiencing industrial growth, it can encourage rise to separatist ideas. Intellectuals may receive funding to promote these concepts, crafting historical narratives and symbols that foster separatist sentiment. This process is akin to planting a bomb; when the time is right, those who provided the funding can simply press a button, and it will begin to explode. History demonstrates that nations currently ravaged by civil wars, famine, and disease were once prosperous, even just fifty years ago. The histories of Syria and Lebanon illustrate this point clearly.
