Dear Writer Jeyamohan,
Greetings, it was a surreal moment being at Nithyavanam and was happy to meet you on the the first days of 2026 during the “Introduction to Indian Philosophy” classes held on January 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Vellimalai Nithyavanam!
I met you for the first time at the Madurai Book Fair. Meeting you always in your place gives me a sense of happiness (since you travel across the world, in today’s context your “place” is something vast and expansive).
That this class took place when I had come to India on vacation felt like a dream come true moment. I had returned from the Palani foot pilgrimage just two days before the class began and was reflecting on the thought that spirituality and philosophy are the two eyes of India.
Despite having some cold related issues the teaching sessions went brilliantly over all three days. The pleasant atmosphere of Nithyavanam helped us stay focused.
Though the class was in English, the mastery over the subject and clarity of your thought transcended language and flowed with absolute clarity.
On the final day, gathering before you in the early morning under the full moonlight was truly an uplifting moment!
Classes like these are made possible for everyone only through the dedication and kindness of your team. All the students conducted themselves with great affection. This was my first time interacting in person with your readers and those who know you.
Earlier I had read in an article that you are a fast eater; I also seen that in person as well during these days!
Following the class, I have gained a perspective on Indian philosophy & with the clarity that this is only the first step.
Our thanks and salutations to you, Guru; to Anthiyur Mani Anna, who made all the arrangements and provided us with food; to the Mother who prepared the hot, delicious meals; and to the Watchman Ayya!
With Love,
Somasundaram (Karaikudi / Texas)
