Happiness -A letter

Dear Jeyamohan,

Being happy is, in many ways, a very simple thing. We often search for happiness in things outside ourselves, when it can actually be found in the things we are deeply interested in.

Do what genuinely interests you. Give yourself completely to it. Learn about it, explore it, and allow yourself to grow through that process. When we immerse ourselves in something we truly love, the activity itself becomes a source of joy. We learn not merely to achieve something, but because learning itself gives us happiness.

The message in your video speech was very clear and meaningful: happiness does not necessarily come from possessing more or achieving more. It comes from discovering what truly engages our minds and hearts, and giving ourselves wholeheartedly to it.

I felt that this was a simple but important message, and one that is especially valuable to young people today.
