Vijay and alternate politics

Dear Jeyamohan,

I really appreciate your ideas about the difference between power politics and micro politics and your affiliation towards the latter. It is very obvious that power politics is a game of hatred and muscle power. It is true that power politics is impossible without compromise. But the real meaning of democracy is people participating in the power and sharing it. So if the majority of people are away from power politics, it means letting the thugs and greedy people handle the power of a state. I hope you can understand this major difference.

Dear Raju,

Yes, I know the importance of people participating in the power politics. It is essential. But people can participate in power politics only through institutions, as a mass. So people should organize themselves according to their economical and social needs. For example, they can unite as a trade union and fight for their rights and share in the power. They can exercise their voting rights accordingly. But emotionally involving themselves in the simple divisive politics of the political parties is actually wasting their time and energy. It will not help them to gain any share in the power.
