“Idealism and Ideology”

Dear Jeyamohan,

The difference between ideology and idealism is an intriguing question. Generally, we do not differentiate between the two because we believe in idealism and practice ideology. We expect idealism from simple ideologists, which is why we often feel disappointed by all kinds of ideologists.

Believing in ideology is a material concern; there is nothing beyond mundane aspects in an ideology. Ideologists often talk about changing the world and transforming our everyday lives, yet they rarely provide permanent solutions for anything. They do not offer profound answers to any question. Ideology is an intellectual construct designed to address simple, day-to-day questions. In contrast, idealism emerges from the fundamental intuition and dreams of human beings, both individually and collectively. We can feel idealism emotionally and connect with it without relying on logic.

You clearly explained the difference between idealism and ideology, and the video serves as a starting point for many original thoughts.
