The Mozhi Foundation has launched an English online magazine. Suchitra Ramachandran and Priyamvatha Ramkumar started the Mozhi Foundation three years ago. This organization aims to promote translations from Indian languages into English.
Three years ago, Mozhi launched the Mozhi Translation Competitions. Today, it has become a literary competition that has gained importance at the Indian level. It has identified more than fifty translators. The Mozhi Competition 2024 has released its results. (Mozhi Competition Awards 2024)
Mozhi Online Magazine primarily publishes English translations of Indian works. They are works submitted for competitions. In addition to this, our online magazine will also publish literary reviews. In the Indian English environment, aesthetic criticism is very rare. Only sociological and political perspectives have prevailed. Mozhi aims to overcome that narrowness. It seeks to present the leading aesthetic critics writing in Indian languages.
