Ajithan and Western Philosophy

Dear Jeyamohan,

I watched the video of Ajithan talking about western philosophy. I cherished his boyish accent and shy smile, as well as the profound nature of his ideas and the originality of his views. I appreciate a particular point: for the past thirty years, Western academia has only interpreted Western philosophy through the lens of politics, and consequently, current discourses are inextricably linked to contemporary political issues. Because they felt the moral and metaphysical questions are overexplored and eventually outdated. They are curious to connect philosophy to the present world, and politics is the only way to do that. Fortunately, Ajithan received his education from a prominent Indian university, rather than any western university. That experience broadens his perspectives and solidifies his commitment to the original pursuit of western philosophy.
