Sweden and Digital Media

Dear J

Although you have said it many times, a certainty arises when I see it as established news.

As Sweden shifts back to books, is India next in the digital learning struggle?

Dear Ramasamy Dhanasekar,

I have seen this change in American private schools a decade ago. That is what I am talking about. No medium can easily transcend its basic purpose. The primary purpose of Internet-visual media is to cater to the needs of the entertainment industry. Its core content is advertising in any case. Advertising distracts us, prevents us from concentrating, and makes us indecisive. In that state, we buy a lot.

Without concentration, education is impossible to attain. A medium that is inherently dispersive cannot serve as the primary source of education. Video-Internet media is very dangerous for today’s children. They will become inattentive. They will become devoid of any accumulation of knowledge.

As usual, Europe will wake up first. Finally, the Indian upper class will awaken. At last, we, the Indian middle class, have made our mark. But until then, we will keep arguing for it.

When I developed the Unified Wisdom educational system, I completely disregarded video-Internet media instruction. I defined three elementary factors for my program. The program includes a dedicated space for education, fellow students who attend solely for educational purposes, and direct interaction with the teacher. I try to explain it continuously.

I realized that concentrated attention is the primary need for any education, so I coordinated meditation training classes to address it.

Today’s aware parents have also realized the distraction of their young children. That is why young students came to the birdwatching event that we organized for attention and contact with nature in large numbers. Now we are introducing plant viewing in the same way.

Books alone can provide true education. Because they cannot be learned without concentration. Adding direct contact with nature completes the education process.
